Call me an old Fuddy Duddy but that's ok.
I logged on to the local theater's website to see what was playing and good grief--it's no wonder people are warped. Even if all the stars aligned and I actually went to a movie there is nothing but trash out there. I will make exception for a few family movies, which is why I logged on to begin with. Matthew was going to see Hotel for Dogs and I wanted to see what it was all about. The other movies, all marketed to our young impressionable generation, no doubt, were enough to make my skin crawl. I have reason to believe that things in the cinema will only continue their downward spiral of destruction.
This leads to me believe that I will have to make my kids stay home and act out 19th century plays like they used to do before the days of TV and radio because they're not spending my hard earned money on the current movie options.

Here, here! we actually took our kids to see "Marley and Me" on Christmas Eve. We thought it would be fun because we enjoyed reading "Bad Dog, Marley". Well, it was NOT very appropriate for my schoolage children. After the show, we had some 'splainin' to do!
I agree. I used to love to go to the movies, but since having Jacob that has gone out the window. But it makes me feel better to look at what is out there and realize I don't want to see it anyway.
I kind of do want to see "He's just not that into you." Could be funny and I'm not that far away from that era of having to realize that cold brutal fact! :)
HA! 19th century plays. You are a riot, Michele!!
