Last week I saw the mother of one of Matthew's preschool friends who asked, "Are you having a relaxing summer?" No, no and no. Fun, yes, but not what I describe as relaxing. Relaxing would be me sitting alone in a cabana on a Maui beach getting a foot massage and drinking something other than Capri Sun--for the better part of a month.
We have been active in the almost 100 degree weather and it feels like summer, no doubt. We do have some photographic documentation of our non-relaxing summer which I'll post as soon as I get a night to "relax".
Overall though, I have to say that it's been everything summer should be. It reminds me of my carefree summers as a child and makes me wonder how Laura Knarr ever withstood the number of wee folk wanting to swim who trickled into her house daily like a leaky faucet. Bless her soul for my childhood memories of summer.
